Defining What Finding Passion and Living With Passion Means

Think of the first word that comes into your mind when you think of the word knowledge. In the past I have asked many people the same question and I have had many different answers from books, read, school, learn and expert to power. You may have thought of something completely different. There is no right and wrong. All of those answers relate to the word knowledge. Different words have different meanings to people depending on their life experiences to date. It is only when a new concept is shown to them that they may add to their knowledge and the word may then have a different meaning.

This is why it is important to define your own meaning to finding passion so that you can define what you are looking for. You don't want to be looking for something that your mother thinks you should have or your friend thinks you should have you want to look for what YOU think you should have.

If you were to search for the word "Passion" in Wikipedia you would find it described as a strong and barely controllable emotion or an intense desire or enthusiasm for something.

To me, passion is an emotional state; you have a passion for something, a passion against something or a passion to do something. It could also be described as a "strong feeling" towards something or against something. It may give you feelings such as happiness, contentment or an adrenalin rush. On the other hand, it may give you a feeling of anger. Everyone has a feeling of passion for at least one thing in their life, but, the degree of passion may vary for each thing.

You may have experienced people who are passionate about a particular thing. Here in Australia we have Aussie rules football and I know some people who are VERY passionate about the team that they follow. If you are not into football then you may have a hard time understanding what all the carry on is about and that's ok, it just means that you are not passionate about football.

Take the time to think about someone whom you know of who is passionate about something. Then think of how that passion works for them in their life. Does it inspire them to get out of bed early, stay up late, spend their money, yell out and jump about without caring what anyone else thinks? Do they talk about it a lot or lose track of time because of it? Make a list of all of the things that you can think of that describe a passionate person.

If you can identify what passion is then you know the clues to look for when you are finding passion in your own life. You don't have to find it as it is already there, you just have to identify the things that you are passionate about. Living with passion is simply having the things that you are passionate about in your life.
